Field Chemist

Job Opportunities

MKC Enterprises, Inc. has an IMMEDIATE opportunity for a Field Chemist located in the Atlanta, GA area.

 

We are looking for candidates with proven experience within the Environmental/Waste Management field, with strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to travel within the territory.  A bachelor’s degree and technical background in chemistry or related sciences field is required.  24-hour or 40-hour HazMat Training and/or Commercial Drivers License with hazmat endorsement is preferred.

 

The Field Chemist will be responsible for:

 

• Conducting field operations including but not limited to lab pack and drum removal projects within the scope of all applicable regulations including OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations.

 

• Using chemical knowledge and other applicable resources to properly segregate and package hazardous chemicals and hazardous wastes.

 

• Assigning safety equipment needed for field operations.

 

• Completing and maintaining documentation required for field operations such as: hazardous waste manifests, land disposal restriction notification forms, lab pack inventory forms and chains of custody.

Technician / Driver

 

MKC Enterprises, Inc. has an IMMEDIATE opportunity for a Technician/Driver located in Doraville, GA.

 

We are looking for candidates with experience within the Environmental/Waste Management field, that possess a Class B CDL with hazmat endorsement and have the ability to travel.  Familiarity with EPA Hazardous Waste regulations and 40 hour HAZWOPER is preferred.

 

The Technician/Driver will be responsible for customer interaction, inspection of company vehicles, pick-up and transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, completion of paperwork according to established procedures, performance of related work as required and working cooperatively with all company employees.
